BENGALURU: Karnataka Former Prime Minister H D Deve Gowda, Karnataka Chief Minister H D Kumaraswamy and actor Rajinikanth paid last respects to Former Union Minister Ambareesh at Kanteerava stadium .He passed away last night in Bengaluru.
Well-known Kannada actor and former Union minister M H Ambareesh took his last breath at a private hospital in Bengaluru late Saturday night. He followed a heart attack. He was 66. He is survived by actress wife Sumalatha and son Abhishek.
Ambareesh had not been keeping well for the past few years. He was frequently hospitalized. In 2015, he was moved to Singapore in an air ambulance where he recovered incredibly. He was suffering from kidney and lung illness.
CM of Karnataka tweeted , “Deeply shocked and saddened to hear about the untimely death of my beloved friend #Ambareesh. In his death, an era of love and affection in the Kannada Film industry has ended. With Ambarish I enjoyed a friendship that went beyond political affiliations and films.”
The 2.0 actor Rajinikanth tweeted, “A wonderful human being ... my best friend ... I have lost you today and will miss you ... Rest In Peace #Ambrish.”
As per the family sources, the ostentatious actor collapsed in his house at around 5pm. He was rushed to the hospital and doctors declared him dead at around 10.50pm.
