New Delhi: The Enforcement Directorate (ED) has arrested Raj Singh Gehlot, owner of Ambiance Mall in Gurugram, in a bank fraud case. Raj Singh Gehlot is accused of cheating bank loans worth Rs 200 crore. Gehlot has been arrested by Gurugram. It is alleged that Raj Singh built the mall on residential land.

Raj Singh Gehlot will be produced before a Delhi ED court by the investigating agency and seek remand. A few months ago also Gehlot's hideouts were raided by the ED. ED had raided seven hideouts of Raj Singh Gehlot in Delhi. It also included several offices of Aman Hospitality and Ambient Group. ED recovered Rs 16 lakh cash and foreign exchange worth about Rs 25 lakh from here. ED has also questioned Raj Singh Gehlot several times in the last few months. Investigations have also revealed that the Ambiance mall constructed by Raj Singh Gehlot in Gurugram is actually built on a residential plot. Raj Singh Gehlot has achieved all this with his political hold.

Raj Singh Gehlot is also investigating the CBI case. The Punjab Haryana court had on CBI ordered an inquiry into the construction of a mall on 18.98 acres of land in Gurugram. It is alleged that the statutory provisions in the construction of the mall were openly violated by Raj Singh in connivance with others. It is also alleged that the land on which the mall is built was for the land housing project.
