Washington: Former US President Barack Obama has said that modern India can be counted as a successful saga in many respects despite bitterness within the political parties, various armed separatist movements and corruption and scams. Obama said in his new book that the transition to a more market-based economy in the 1990s aroused the extraordinary entrepreneurial talents of Indians, leading to growth rates, a thriving technology sector and a steadily expanding class.
