America Speaks - Atrocities among minorities in India, India said - you don't have the right on it

New Delhi: India has completely rejected a report released by the Us State Department that seeks to target minorities. An External Affairs Ministry spokesperson of India has said that no foreign institution or government has the right to make any declaration regarding Indian nationals protected from the rights conferred on the Constitution.

Reacting to the report, External Affairs Ministry spokesperson Raveesh Kumar said that India does not see any truth in the foreign report. India is proud of its secularism. India is the largest democratic and pluralistic society in the world which has long been fully committed to tolerance and inclusion. The Constitution of India guarantees the fundamental rights of all citizens of the country, including the minority community.

Ravish Kumar has said that it is fully well known that India is a democratic nation whose Constitution protects all of religious freedom and the democratic government protects and encourages religious activities. Kumar said, "We do not grant the right to any foreign institution or government to make any declaration about our citizens protected from constitutional rights."
