One of the most loved Actress and producers in Hollywood industry, Mindy Kaling is in India. The actress took to social media to share several photos of her from India and revealed that she was enjoying the pink city of Jaipur, Rajasthan.
Mindy Kaling revealed that she was in Jaipur. As per the reports the trip might be work-related and she is looking for the locations for her upcoming wedding film with actor Priyanka Chopra, which was announced in 2019. She was accompanied by the writer Dan Goor, on the trip. The film, produced by Universal Pictures, was along the lines of the films Crazy Rich Asians and My Big Fat Greek Wedding.
Mindy is in the city to check out locations for her upcoming wedding film with Priyanka Chopra. Mindy Shared a couples of pictures and wrote, "The Pink City". As soon as it caught the eyes of people they started commenting on it. Director Nisha Ganatra wrote, "I love that fort so much! It’s beautiful!" Actor Poorna Jagannathan wrote, "Pretty in Pink."
Mindy speaking about this film said, "We’re really proud of it, we show South Asian Americans that are from Southern India. Then we show a Muslim Indian girl. Culturally we see how they’re different from each other. The Asian experience is not a monolith. Why would people necessarily know that if they don’t have shows that explain and explore that difference?"
Speaking about the duo Mindy and Priyanka will play cousins in the film, which is set around an Indian wedding. Mindy would be playing an Indian-American, while Priyanka would play her cousin, born and raised in India. Their characters would also be from different cultures within India.
