New Delhi: US multinational technology giant Cognizant has reported that its total revenue rose 41.8 percent to USD 51.2 million (about Rs 3,801.7 crore) in the June quarter and will employ 100,000 people this year. The US-based company earned a total revenue of $36.1 million in the June 2020 quarter.
Cognizant has raised the income growth target for FY21 to 10.2-11.2 percent (9-10 percent in fixed currency). The company's revenue rose from 14.6 percent (12 percent in fixed currency) to USD 4.6 billion in the quarter under review, up from US$ 4 billion in the same period a year ago. This figure is higher than the company's forecasts.
State that the US multinational technology company Cognizant in India has about two lakh employees and follows January-December as the financial year. The company said it expects its revenue to be in the range of $4.69-4.74 billion in the third quarter. The company has predicted revenue of between $18.4 and $18.5 billion for the entire year 2021.
