Washington: The United States of America (USA) publicly accused Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman of approving the murder of journalist Jamal Khashoggi. After which 76 Saudi people were put on the blacklist under the "Khashoggi ban" announced by Secretary of State Antony Blinken.
According to the US intelligence report, the Saudi government had a role in the murder of Jamal Khashoggi. Prince Mohammed bin Salman cleared a campaign in Istanbul, Turkey to kill Khashoggi, as he was a staunch critic of Prince Salman. This was revealed in an intelligence report set up by President Joe Biden's administration. The report noted that given the influence of Prince Mohammed, it is unlikely that 2018's killing of Kagoshi could have taken place without his permission.
The journalist Jamal Khashoggi, writing for The Washington Post, was first killed and then cut to pieces at the Saudi Consulate in Istanbul in October 2018. In honor of the deceased writer, Secretary of State Antony Blinken announced a "Khashoggi ban" that would ban the entry of foreigners from the United States who threaten journalists and their families, and immediately 76 Saudi people have been blacklisted.
