WASHINGTON: Amid growing support for India in the world community over the Kashmir issue, an American lawmaker has changed its old stance. Expressing concern over the current situation in Kashmir after Section 370 was over, US MP Thomas Suojji sent a letter to US Defence Secretary Mike Pompeo. About 100 people from the Indian-American community in New York's 3rd district met Thomas to defend India in this regard.

After meeting him, the MP issued a statement apologizing for his mistake. In his statement, Thomas said, "After that meeting, I realised that I had not consulted these friends of the Indian-American community before writing the letter. I'm sorry. If I had met him before writing the letter, my concerns would have been something else," he said.
No one is coming in support of Pak on Kashmir issue
Pakistan did not get any support even after the issue was raised in the world community, including China, the United States, after Section 370 was abolished in Jammu and Kashmir. If China has advised Pak, the US has also taken a leaf out of the matter. The top UN officials did not even find it necessary to respond to the Kashmir issue. Pakistan has finally conceded defeat in the wake of India's great success.
