New Delhi: American aircraft manufacturer Boeing has advised all airline companies not to use Boeing 777 model aircraft. The engine of this model's aircraft failed in Denver last week. The United States regulator had inspected those aircraft of United Airlines, after which the company gave this instruction. United Airlines said on Sunday that it is temporarily removing aircraft of this model from service.
United Airlines made this announcement after an emergency landing at Denver International Airport after the right engine burst while flying. Apparently, the Pratt & Whitney PW 4000 engine onboard the aircraft fell into the suburbs after being torn to pieces. However, the aircraft was safely landed, carrying 231 passengers and 10 crew members. US Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) Administrator Steve Dickson issued the statement, saying that based on a preliminary review, information has been required to increase the frequency of inspecting wing blades in aircraft of this model, which is used only in Boeing 777 planes.
The statement said that it probably means that some aircraft need to be erected. It also said they would have to do so until the FAA established an inspection process.
