Amid covid rage, Union Cabinet and CCEA meeting to be held virtually today

New Delhi: The Cabinet Committee on Economic Affairs (CCEA) and Union Cabinet will meet via video conferencing on Wednesday in response to growing worries about the rise in Covid-19 cases.According to reliable sources, the CCEA meeting will begin at 10 a.m., followed by the Union Cabinet meeting at 10.05 a.m.

The Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between India and Nepal for the construction of a bridge over the Mahakali River at Dharchula (India)- Dharchula (Nepal) was authorised by the Union Cabinet just last week (Nepal).

The MoU between India and Nepal will be signed in the "near future," according to I&B Minister Anurag Thakur, and the bridge would be completed in three years. According to Thakur, as near neighbours, India and Nepal have unique friendship and collaboration relations typified by an open border and deep-rooted kinship and cultural contacts. The signing of the MoU will improve diplomatic relations between the two countries, according to an official release.

It also approved the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding between India and Turkmenistan on Disaster Management Cooperation.
