Bhopal: The covid-19 is going to remain on lockdown every Sunday till orders arrive in 12 cities of Madhya Pradesh to prevent the spread of virus infection. "The lockdown is going to continue in 12 cities in 11 districts every Sunday till the order to prevent the spread of covid-19 virus infection," said Dr. Rajesh Rajura, Additional Chief Secretary, Madhya Pradesh.

In this regard, he said that the lockdown in these cities will be effective from 10 am to 6 pm on Saturday night. Rajura said that the cities where the lockdown will remain include Indore, Bhopal, Jabalpur, Betul, Ratlam, Chhindwara, Khargone, Gwalior, Ujjain, Vidisha, Narsinghpur and Chhindwara districts.

In Madhya Pradesh, 2,142 new cases of covid infection have been registered on Saturday. So far, 2,86,407 people have been affected by the epidemic in the state, out of which 3,947 people have lost their lives so far.
