Patna: Amidst the students' agitation regarding the RRB-NTPC exam, the former Deputy CM of Bihar and Rajya Sabha MP announced on Thursday that approval has been made on the demand of the students and now instead of two Group D exams have been taken. Will go BJP leader Sushil Modi said that he had a long discussion with Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnav in Delhi. He said that both the major demands of the students have been approved. Railways will now conduct one exam instead of two for Group D and a candidate-unique result formula for NTPC results will be applicable.

He also said that three and a half lakh additional results of NTPC examination will be declared on the basis of one candidate-unique result. Sushil Modi said that the Railway Minister assured that the government is in agreement with the students and the decision will be taken soon as per their demand.

Modi said that after the report of the committee that has been formed, both these demands will be implemented. Earlier, Sushil Modi appealed to the Railway Minister that in the case of NTPC, a decision should be taken on the principle of one candidate-one result. He also urged the police-administration of the state that no punitive action should be taken against the students and teachers. He said that if the Railway Board had cleared the confusion of the students in time, such unpleasant situation would not have arisen in Bihar. Students are not criminals. He said that due to misunderstanding, the students came on the streets.
