Raipur: A shocking incident has come to light from Chhattisgarh's Bastar district. Where the Haldi ceremony was going on due to the marriage. Due to this, the bride suffered from labour pains and the wedding ceremony had to be stopped midway. The family immediately rushed the bride to the hospital, where she gave birth to a son. The incident took place at Village Banskot in the Badarajpur block of the district.
Sarita Mandavi, mother of the bride, a resident of Navrangpur, Orissa in the Kandgidihi district, said that due to the ongoing Paithu tradition among the tribals, her daughter Shivbati Mandavi, on the occasion of Krishna Janmashtami in the month of August, had gone to Chandan Netam, a boy of her choice, who hails from Banskot. She went to his house here for Paithu. Where she stayed for about 6 months and became pregnant. Let me tell you, there is a different tradition in the tribal society in which neither the muhurat is seen nor the horoscope is matched, but boys and girls are free to marry by liking each other. If the marriageable youth and the young woman like each other, the young woman goes to the young man's house which is known as Paithu culture. This tradition continues even today in rural areas.
The families of both of them decided that they should get married now. Then both sides informed their relatives about the marriage. But during the preparations for the wedding, there was some delay and the auspicious muhurat of the wedding was also gone. People were invited to the wedding. On January 30, 2022, the haldi coating ceremony was going on. On January 31, there was a blessing program and a dinner program. But during the Haldi ceremony, the bride's started having stomachs pain. She was immediately taken to the hospital. Where in the morning she gave birth to a son. An atmosphere of celebration was devised throughout the family.
