Amit Shah begins 3-day visit to Sikkim, Assam today

New Delhi: On Thursday, Union Home Minister Amit Shah left for his 3-day visit to Sikkim and Assam on Thursday.
According to a recent tweet from the Home Minister, he will officially open the Eastern and North-Eastern Zones Dairy Cooperative Conclave 2022 today in Gangtok, Sikkim. A number of events will also take place in Assam.

The newly built Assam state BJP office in the Basistha area of Guwahati will be officially opened by the party's top leaders on Saturday, said Assam State BJP President Bhabesh Kalita, in the presence of state party leaders and Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma.

Nadda and Shah will also be present at the Guwahati Veterinary College playground for the party workers' meeting.
"On October 7th in the evening, JP Nadda, the national president of our party, and Amit Shah, the union home minister, will arrive in Guwahati and attend a party meeting. They will also go to a conference of party workers that will be held at the Veterinary College playground in Khanapara, where 35,000 to 40,000 party members from all across the state will attend "On Thursday, Bhabesh Kalita said.

Shah will  also attend a number of official meetings on Saturday night and Sunday early, sources said. Following a number of formal engagements on Sunday, the Union Home Minister will leave the state after attending the Conference of the Superintendent of Police at the Police Training College in Dergaon.

BJP office bearers claim that the soon-to-be-opened Assam BJP state headquarters will be the party's largest office in the region's northeast. The BJP office is anticipated to include cutting-edge infrastructure and all of today's comforts.
Spread over 95,000 sqft, the building will have 6 floors and an open rooftop premise.

Along with state-of-the-art conference rooms with a capacity for 40 people apiece, the new BJP office in Assam will have an auditorium that can hold 350 people. There will also be five meeting rooms with a capacity of 50 people each. Along with a reception area and a canteen, the office will also feature a sizable press conference room.
