Amit Shah doesn't give time to meet TMC MPs in front of Home Ministry

New Delhi: Several Trunmul Congress (TMC) MPs staged a protest outside union home minister Amit Shah's office in Delhi demanding a meeting. In Tripura, TMC MPs had sought an appointment with the Home Minister over the alleged police brutality and the arrest of Sayani Ghosh, secretary of the party's West Bengal unit youth wing. TMC mps sat on dharna outside the ministry for not giving time to meet. Tell us that Tripura police had arrested Sayani Ghosh on Sunday on charges of attempt to murder.

During a demonstration outside the Home Ministry, TMC MP Sukhendu Sekhar Roy told the media, 'The Tripura government should be dismissed. Goonda Raj has been established in Tripura. We wanted to meet the Home Minister, but he has not given us time. Our TMC a false case was registered against the young leader.' The TMC delegation includes Sukhendu Shekhar Roy, Kalyan Banerjee, Derek O'Brien, Saugata Roy, Dola Sen and other leaders.

A delegation of 10-12 MPs from TMC arrived in Delhi on Sunday to meet Amit Shah. Party leaders met here on Monday morning. MP Saugata Roy had said he would protest against Sayani Ghosh's arrest. On the other hand, TMC MP Derek O'Brien tweeted, 'Gujarat model in Tripura. TMC will never accept such fascist brutality. Trinamool Congress MP leaves for Delhi.'
