The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) campaign for the Maharashtra Assembly Elections 2019 started today from the auspicious day of Dussehra. Union Home Minister Amit Shah arrived in Savargaon of Beed district of Maharashtra to attend the Vijayadashami festival. During this, Amit Shah said about the removal of Article 370 from Jammu and Kashmir, that, "you gave 300 seats to Modi and Modiji removed 370 in 5 months. Today, nationalists have stood with 370 flags in his honour".

Amit Shah was addressing an election rally in support of Pankaja Munde, a BJP candidate from Parli assembly and a minister in Maharashtra government. Earlier, Amit Shah was welcomed on stage by wearing a traditional Turban. Speaking in relation to Maharashtra's OBC community, Home Minister Amit Shah said that "the Modi government has done the work of walking on the path of Lord Baba for the underprivileged and OBC society".
