New Delhi, India: On the occasion of the birth anniversary of Guru Ravidas, Union Home Minister Amit Shah stated on Wednesday that the saint was dedicated to uniting society by providing equal rights and justice to all people.

Shah, who used to Twitter to express himself, said: "Sant Ravidas ji dedicated his life to uniting society by providing equal rights and fairness to all people. On the occasion of his birth anniversary, I bow at the feet of the respected saint Shri Ravidas ji, a symbol of peace and harmony."

"With his thoughts and creations, he demonstrated the route to humanity's welfare by awakening spiritual consciousness in society. We will always be guided by his message of unity, equality, and karma primacy "In a tweet, a top BJP leader stated.

Under Prime Minister Narendra Modi's leadership, the Home Minister further noted that the Centre is constantly working to increase the standard of living by making every section a partner in development.

"Under the leadership of @narendramodi ji, the central government is always trying to increase the standard of living by making every segment a partner in development, achieving Sant Ravidas ji's vision," Shah tweeted.
