New Delhi: IAS Officer Saket Kumar has been appointed as the private Secretary of Union Home Minister Amit Shah. An order issued by the Ministry of Personnel said that Kumar, an IAS officer of 2009 batch of Bihar cadre, will remain his post till 29 July 2023. Kumar was appointed the PS of the then Minister of State for Railways Manoj Sinha last year.

As per the information received from the sources, IAS officer, M. I. Jamir has been made the PS of women and Child Development Minister Smriti Irani. He will remain in the post till 22 July 2020. Jamir is an IAS officer of 2002 batch of Karnataka Cadre and was appointed as Irani's PS in 2015. Irani was the union Minister for Human Resource development at the time.

With this, Ashish Kumar, a 2005-batch IAS officer of Tamil Nadu cadre, has been made a PS of MOS Jitendra Singh in the PMO. He will be in the post till 27th August 2021. Ashish had worked as a PS of Jitendra Singh for some time last year. The security of Union Home Minister Amit Shah has been tightened. Delhi Police has deployed additional security personnel at their residence.
