NEW DELHI: The Lok Sabha began functioning at 11 a.m. after Union Home Minister Amit Shah passed the Resolution to abolish Section 370 of the Constitution granting special state hoodstatus to Jammu and Kashmir, in which Union Home Minister Amit Shah took up the Jammu and Kashmir Reorganisation Bill, 2019 in the Lok Sabha. Both the Bills are currently under discussion. In the Lok Sabha, Congress MP Adhir Ranjan Choudhary opposed the centre's decision. He alleged that Kashmir was divided overnight. Chowdhury said that Jammu and Kashmir has been imprisoned by the government. The situation in Jammu and Kashmir is not being ascertained. Responding to this, Home Minister Amit Shah said that Jammu and Kashmir is an integral part of India. There is no legal or constitutional dispute in this regard.

Amit Shah said, the Constitution of Jammu and Kashmir also acknowledges that it is an integral part of India. He said, when it comes to Jammu and Kashmir, PoK comes into it. He said, I am agitated because you do not consider PoK as part of India. We will give life to PoK. PoK and Aksai Chin are also an integral part of India.
