Ahmedabad: On Monday, Union Home Minister Amit Shah inaugurated a 4.18-kilometer elevated corridor in Ahmedabad, Gujarat, connecting Gota Flyover to Science City Box. Gujarat's Chief Minister, Bhupendra Patel, was also in attendance.

The busiest road junctions in Ahmedabad city will be relieved of traffic congestion once this 4.18 km long elevated corridor, built at a cost of Rs 170 crore, is operational. This elevated highway corridor will directly benefit four major road intersections such as Sola Bhagwat, Kargil Petrol Pump, Janata Nagar, and Zydus. From this elevated corridor, the general public will have easy and quick access to National Highway 147.

Earlier, on Sunday, Amit Shah launched the Dairy Sahakar scheme in Anand, Gujarat, with the goal of doubling farmers' income and establishing Atmanirbhar Bharat. He also spoke at Amul's 75th anniversary celebrations in Anand. On Sunday, Shah spoke at the 'Rashtriya Ekta Divas' (National Unity Day) programme in Kevadia, Gujarat's Narmada district, to commemorate Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel's 146th birthday.
