Lucknow: Union Home Minister Amit Shah and Uttar Pradesh CM Yogi Adityanath laid the foundation stone of the State University in Azamgarh on Saturday. Meanwhile, Amit Shah launched a scathing attack on the Samajwadi Party (SP). Shah said that today the work of building 'Dham' of Mother Saraswati is going to be done on the land of Azamgarh, which was considered to be a hub of radical thinking and terrorism all over the world under the SP rule.

The Home Minister said that Azamgarh will now be known for education. I would like to suggest CM Yogi Adityanath to rename the university to be built here after Maharaja Suheldev. Amit Shah said Modiji has brought JAM so that purchases can be made without corruption. J means a Jan Dhan account, A means Aadhaar and M means mobile in each hand. I made this statement in Gujarat, Shah said. So an SP leader said that we have also brought JAM. But SP's JAM means Jinnah from J, Azamkhan from A and M means Mukhtar.

We said in our manifesto in 2017 that we will build 10 new universities, Amit Shah further said. Today, the work of building 10 universities has been completed. We promised to build 40 medical colleges, which we have also fulfilled.
