Four days after joining rural families in Purulia district of West Bengal under the 'Public Relation Campaign' of BJP President Amit Shah, four families joined the Trinamool Congress. Trinamool leaders handed these families the flag of the party in front of the media. He claimed that the villagers threatened Bholbhale to join the BJP.

Puchu Rajbhar, living in Purulia, said that he is not in politics but his tendency towards Trinamool Congress and its leader Mamta Banerjee is inclined. Amit Shah had met Raj Bharat on Thursday. He claimed that after Shah's departure, he had come to Kolkata to seek help from Trinamool. He said, "We have come to the city ourselves and we know they will save us from threats"

Four tribals of Purulia district have alleged that the BJP is pressurizing them to join the party and they demanded protection from Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee. Trinamool leader Madan Mitra said that after the pressure of the BJP, the Adivasis reached the office of the Trinamool Congress, located in the Kalighat, to make the Chief Minister aware of the insecurity of the people. However, it is not clear if Trinamool Congress chief Mamata Banerjee met tribals.

The villagers were presented before the media and claimed that they became frightened by the presence of Shah and his bodyguards, and therefore he came to Banerjee's Kalighat residence to demand protection. Mitra said that the BJP is giving mental torture to his family. Trinamool Rajya Sabha member Shantanu Sen said that the four villages have never been involved in politics and are under the mental trauma and pressure from Shah's visit. At the same time, BJP National Secretary Rahul Sinha dismissed these allegations.
