Kolkata: Union Home Minister Amit Shah is on a two-day visit to West Bengal amidst the heat of the West Bengal Assembly elections. On Friday, Home Minister Amit Shah arrived at the Shauryanjali program organized at the National Library of Kolkata and accused the previous governments of forgetting Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose.

Home Minister Amit Shah further said, 'Many conspiracies were hatched to forget Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose's contribution to the independence of the country. However, despite all these efforts, the life and struggle of Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose are inspiring generations of the country. The country has a great affection for Netaji and will remember him for ages for his bravery.' Today is the last day of Amit Shah's tour of Bengal.

During this, Amit Shah also flagged off a cycle rally from the National Library. At the Shauryanjali program, Amit Shah further said that 'The Central Government has formed a committee under the leadership of PM Modi, which will decide how to pay true tribute to Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose's contribution. The aim of the government is that the generations should remember Netaji's sacrifice from time to time. I want to tell the youth of the country that you should study in relation to Netaji's life. His life journey will teach you a lot.'
