New Delhi: Union Home Minister Amit Shah, while replying to the discussion on the Jammu and Kashmir Reorganization (Amendment) Bill, 2021 in the Lok Sabha, counted the benefits of the removal of Section 370 and encircled the parties that have ruled there till now. Shah said that with a tingling of 370, three families ruled there for 70 years. He said that for the first time the Panchayati Raj system has been fully implemented in the valley, and now the 'Kings' will not be born from the belly of a queen, but by vote.

Shah further said, "We removed the first section of 370 and established the Panchayati Raj system there first. Dr BR Ambedkar had said that now kings will not be born from the stomach of the queen, Dalits will be born from the opinions of the poor and backward, but in Kashmir, the king was born from the stomach of the queen, three families ruled, therefore they want Section 370. Now kings in the valley will be born by vote." He said that when a king is born from the stomach of the queen, he does not serve the public, but serves the public when it is formed by public opinion.

Amit Shah said, "Today it is being asked what happened to the promises made at the time of the removal of Section 370, it has been 17 months, you have been asking us for accounts, what have you done for 70 years? Had we run 70 years properly, we would not have to ask for an account. This issue of removing 370 is in the court, the court has not stayed the law, has kept it in consideration, we will answer if the court asks.
