Ahmedabad: Union Home Minister Amit Shah has launched a nutritious 'Laddu Vitaran Yojana' for pregnant women in his Lok Sabha constituency Gandhinagar in Gujarat yesterday. Wishing all the people a happy Janmashtami, Shah said that The Bal Gopal form of Shri Krishna is considered to be a role model among healthy children and it is a matter of happiness that the nutritious 'Laddu Vitaran Yojana' for pregnant women is being launched in Gandhinagar region from today itself.

 

 

Home Minister Amit Shah said that 15 nutritious laddoos will be given every month to 7,000 pregnant women till the birth of a child through voluntary institutions to fight malnutrition. He said the scheme will not cost the government a single penny as it has been taken up by voluntary institutions. Union Home Minister Amit Shah further said that the country is now celebrating the festival of independence and PM Narendra Modi has set a target of keeping all mothers and children of the country safe.

Shah said PM Modi has said that "right nutrition, country enlightened,'' the revolution of any country, the light of any country, cannot be without nurtured mothers and nurtured children. Amit Shah said that no country can move forward unless the mother who gives birth to newborns is healthy.
