New Delhi: The first reaction of Union Home Minister Amit Shah has come over 21-year-old Disha Ravi who was arrested in the toolkit case related to farmer agitation. Shah has defended the Delhi Police on this issue, saying that no criminal's age should be seen. On the question of investigation on the issue ranging from Khalistani link to toolkit in the farmers' movement, Amit Shah said, "I do not want to go to the merit of this case."
Shah further said that the police is acting on its own terms, if a person is committing a crime, should it ask its age or occupation? He further said that it is totally wrong to do so. Delhi Police is acting in a professional manner with full responsibility. The Home Minister has taken a dig at those who are questioning the Delhi Police investigation. The Home Minister said that if a person commits a big crime, will it be said that why cases have been registered against farmers, professors and leaders?
Amit Shah further said that crime will not be registered on the basis of gender, profession and age. He also said that if any wrong FIR has been filed, you can go to court. He further said that there are many people aged 21, but why is Disha Ravi arrested?
