New Delhi: Amid ongoing protests by farmers over new agricultural laws, PM Narendra Modi on Friday transferred Rs 18,000 crores to bank accounts of 9 crore farmers under the PM Kisan Samman Fund scheme. During the event, the central government ministers were associated with farmers from various places.  Meanwhile, Union Home Minister Amit Shah while addressing the gathering at Mehrauli in Delhi said that the government is ready to interact with farmers ' organisations with an open heart.

Amit Shah further said that the opposition is misleading the farmers over the minimum support price (MSP), while the system will never end. Union ministers Rajnath Singh and Narendra Singh Tomar also tried to dispel the confusion of farmers over MSP.  He said, "when Modiji came up with the Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Yojana, the leader of the entire opposition, including Rahul Baba, used to say that farmers should waive off their debts. The Congress government waived off a debt of 60,000 crores in 10 years. In two and a half years, Narendra Modi has 95,000 crores directly into the farmers ' bank account.

He further said, "These three agricultural laws are in the interest of the farmers. No MSP can remove the system nor can the farmers ' land be snatched away from them. The Government is ready to hold talks with farmers ' organisations with an open heart. Amit Shah said the opposition is misleading the farmers over MSP. The MSP system will remain.
