New Delhi: Today is the 82nd Foundation Day of the Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF), during which a tribute will be paid to the martyrs who have sacrificed their lives for the country by paying homage to the tune of the band of Delhi. Union Home Minister Amit Shah will also attend the program located in the headquarters of CRPF located on Lodhi Road. The event will pay tribute to the martyrs in Neemuch, after which Amit Shah will also address the soldiers across the country through videoconferencing.

Let us tell you that the Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) is the largest party in the Central Armed Police Forces of the country. It works under the Ministry of Home Affairs, Government of India. CRPF's primary role is to help the State / Union Territories in police action, maintain law and order, this party came into existence on 27 July 1939 in Neemuch under British rule, then it was known as Crown Representative Police (CRP) Was known.

After Indian independence, it became CRPF on 28 December 1949 when the CRPF Act came into force. With 230 battalions and several separate establishments, the CRPF is considered the largest paramilitary force in the country. In 1936, the All India Congress Committee formed this party due to the Madras Resolution. At present, the number of soldiers in it is about 3 lakh, more than 24 thousand.
