The second "Chintan Shivir" of senior officers from the Ministry of Home Affairs will take place today in New Delhi under the direction of Union Home Minister Amit Shah in order to develop an action plan for the implementation of Prime Minister Narendra Modi's "Vision 2047."

The purpose of this "Chintan Shivir,"  is to communicate with senior ministry officials and "evolve an action plan for implementation of Prime Minister Narendra Modi's "Vision 2047"."

On April 18, Shah oversaw the inaugural "Chintan Shivir" of senior MHA personnel, during which he placed a priority on creating an ecosystem for managing cybercrime, modernising police forces, enhancing the use of IT in the criminal justice system, managing land borders, and coastal security concerns.

The Union Minister continued by highlighting the need for more AI use to utilise the Crime and Criminal Tracking Network and Systems (CCTNS) database for critical analysis of crimes, making cities safer for women, children, and vulnerable groups.

The inaugural "Chintan Shivir" had the dual goals of reviewing the Ministry's operations and developing an action plan to carry out Prime Minister Narendra Modi's "Vision 2047." Shah also emphasised the necessity of accelerating the hiring process, saying that hiring should begin well in advance of any anticipated future vacancies.

He continued by stating that departmental promotion committees (DPC) meetings should be held frequently to ensure that staff receive promotions in a timely manner.

The Minister had also stressed the importance of implementing different welfare measures for members of the Central Armed Police Forces, such as building medical facilities and raising the percentage of residents who are satisfied with their homes. The Home Minister also underlined the value of training and stated that all MHA wings should conduct regular training.

Shah then proposed that MHA officials visit construction sites to observe development plans and gave the go-ahead to hasten the building of border area roads and fences. The Home Minister had also highlighted the necessity for all top officers to exhibit tact and a personal touch.

He also provided insightful comments on the direction the Ministry should take and exuded optimism that the talks at the "Chintan Shivir" will contribute to greater planning and coordination in these areas.

All senior officers were instructed to work diligently as a team by Shah. Shah first praised the Ministry of Home Affairs' achievements before highlighting the necessity for ongoing efforts to "achieve the goal of making a safe and secure India."

The debates took place over the course of two sessions in the first "Chintan Shivir." The 'Chintan Shivir' started out with a thorough examination of the state of compliance with the directives issued by the Home Minister during an earlier meeting with Ministry officers.

The MHA dashboard, GLIS, Budget Utilisation, E-Office, Special Recruitment Drive, etc. were all examined by the Home Minister together with other systems. The work of several departments' targets and deliverables for the upcoming years, as well as their positions on Aatma Nirbhar Bharat, major Budget announcements, and significant open issues, was then evaluated by Shah.
