New Delhi: Union Home Minister Amit Shah to visit Chennai, the capital of Tamil Nadu today. During this, he will lay the foundation stone for many development projects. During this time Amit Shah will pay tribute to former CM Marudur Gopalan Ramachandran (MGR) and Jayalalithaa. A day before his tour, on Friday, Amit Shah tweeted about his Twitter handle and gave information about it.

Amit Shah wrote that 'I will be in Tamil Nadu tomorrow. I will lay the foundation stone and inaugurate various development projects there. It is believed that Amit Shah can also meet superstar Rajinikanth during this time. This visit of Amit Shah is considered very important before the assembly elections in Tamil Nadu early next year. After registering a landslide victory in Bihar, the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) is now eyeing West Bengal and Tamil Nadu. Assembly elections are proposed in both states next year.

Amit Shah is reaching Chennai to strengthen the political ground of the party. During this, Amit Shah will discuss several topics with the senior leaders of the party, along with strengthening the 'Vetrivel Yatra' of the BJP. Amit Shah will also address the office bearers of the party's state unit and the core committee. With this, they will meet with party officials and brainstorm on the election agenda.
