Lucknow: Preparations are at their peak for next year's proposed assembly elections in Uttar Pradesh. On the one hand, Samajwadi Party (SP) supremo Akhilesh Yadav has isolated himself after his wife Dimple and daughter were infected with corona. On the other hand, Home Minister Amit Shah has also entered the fray to make UP CM Yogi Adityanath chief minister again. Amit Shah is scheduled to embark on the UP mission and will visit the state for 7 days in 10 days.

Amit Shah's mission UP will start from Prayagraj today on December 24 and will continue till January 4. He will cover 140 assembly constituencies. The Home Minister will hold 21 meetings and three roadshows. Amit Shah will also visit Ramnagari and visit Ramlala in Ayodhya and hold a roadshow. During his visit, he will take out 21 meetings and three roadshows to cover about 140 assembly constituencies. Apart from Ayodhya, the roadshows will be held in CM Yogi's home areas of Gorakhpur and Bareilly. Each rally or meeting of the Home Minister will consist of 7 assembly seats, i.e., about 140 assembly constituencies will be covered in 21 houses.

The Home Minister had recently held a joint rally with the Nishad Party in Lucknow where he tried to garner the votes of other backward castes (OBC).
