New Delhi: Governor Jagdeep Dhanhar has sent a report to the Home Ministry on Friday over the attack on BJP national president JP Nadda and other leaders in West Bengal on Thursday. Soon thereafter, the Ministry has asked the DGP and Chief Secretary of the state to Delhi.
According to Home Ministry sources, the report acknowledges that Nadda's security lapses have occurred. Their safety was not properly taken care of that is why both the top officials of the state will be summoned to Delhi and will visit West Bengal for answering on the law. It is noteworthy that the situation has been heated before the assembly elections in West Bengal. Union Home Minister Amit Shah will once again visit West Bengal after the attack on Nadda. He will stay in West Bengal on December 19 and 20.
Amit Shah will address BJP workers during his visit to Bengal, besides participating in other party programmes and meetings. This will be Amit Shah's second visit to Bengal in the past few days. He had recently been in West Bengal for two days. He met the people of the Matua community and party workers and had food with them.
