Amit Shah hold meeting on Naxal-affected states, CMs of 7 states present

New Delhi: Union Home Minister Amit Shah today held a meeting with chief ministers of all naxal affected states of the country. The meeting held at Vigyan Bhawan in Delhi was attended by CMs from several states including CM Kamal Nath from Madhya Pradesh, CM Nitish Kumar of Bihar, CM Bhupesh Baghel of Chhattisgarh, CM Yogi Adityanath of UP, CM Naveen Patnaik of Odisha and CM Raghubar Das of Jharkhand.

The first round of meeting was also attended by the DGPs of the Naxal-affected states. Later in the second round, Amit Shah held discussions with the Chief Ministers and Chief Secretaries of the state on the modalities of development in naxal affected areas. THE MEETING WASBP, DG CRPF, DG BSF, DG NIA were also present. During the first round of the meeting, issues like exchange of information between the law and order police of the state, modernisation of police, use of new technology were discussed.

Union Home Minister Amit Shah will have a second round of meeting with Chief Ministers and Chief Secretaries. The DGP will not participate. Apart from law and order, the strengthening of development plans in the Naxal affected areas will be discussed.
