Amit Shah-Uddhav Thackeray meeting turns out 'positive' : BJP source

Mumbai (Maharashtra) [India], June 6 (NT): Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) president Amit Shah and Shiv Sena Chief Uddhav Thackeray held a 'positive'talks at the latter's residence 'Matoshree' in Mumbai, said BJP sources on Wednesday.

BJP sources told in an interview to ANI that Meeting between BJP and Shiv Sena at 'Matoshree' was positive. He added that this is the beginning of reducing stress between both the parties. He also informed that two or three meetings are likely to happen in the coming days.

Shah on Wednesday met Thackeray as part of the ongoing 'Sampark for Samarthan' (Contact for Support) campaign  but    there was news that Shiv Sena is not agreed to support BJP in upcoming LS elections .

Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis was also be there during the meet.

In the recent past, differences have erupted in the BJP-Shiv Sena coalition in Maharashtra.

In this regard, Fadnavis clarified that although there was no plan to break up the alliance, mutual efforts were crucial for supporting ties.

Launched in May this year, the Sampark for Samarthan initiative has devised to generate awareness about the Prime Minister Narendra Modi-led government's achievements in the last four years.

Worth mention here in the run-up to the 2019 Lok Sabha polls, Shah will reach out to 50 people personally with details of initiatives and achievements of the government. Each BJP worker is also expected to contact at least 10 people.

There will also be a unique session of 'Sampark for Samarthan' on the NaMo App. (NT)
