Home Minister Amit Shah undergoes neck surgery, discharged

New Delhi: Union Home Minister Amit Shah was admitted to a hospital in Ahmedabad today. He was discharged after a minor surgery by doctors. BJP leader Amit Shah has gone home after treatment. According to the media report received, on Wednesday (4 September) at 9 am, Home Minister Amit Shah was admitted to KD Hospital in Ahmedabad, undergoing a minor surgery by the doctors there and then he was discharged from the hospital.

It is not known for what reason the surgery was done. He was discharged from the hospital at around 12:30 pm, after which Amit Shah left for home. Union Home Minister Amit Shah is also on a personal visit to his hometown Ahmedabad on Wednesday. Amit Shah came to Ahmedabad on Tuesday evening.

News agency ANI believes that a successful operation of lipoma has been done on the back of Amit Shah's neck. Earlier on Tuesday, Amit met panchayat representatives of Jammu and Kashmir and Ladakh in North Block. Taking a major decision by the central government, it was announced to give life insurance of Rs 2 lakh to all sarpanches and panches, at the meeting, along with Shah, Union Minister Jitendra Singh, Union Minister of State for Home Nityanand Rai, Home Secretary Ajay Kumar Bhalla, Jammu - Additional Secretary of Kashmir Gyanesh Kumar and senior officers of Kashmir Division were also present.
