A new promo for Kaun Banega Crorepati season 14 has been released by Sony Entertainment Television. Amitabh Bachchan, the show's host, will soon celebrate his 80th birthday, and his son Abhishek Bachchan will take part in the festivities.

Amitabh is pictured in the promotional film standing in the centre of the stage while the hooter prematurely blows. When Abhishek's voice can be heard in the background, Amitabh wonders why the call came in so early. Abhishek enters the stage saying Amitabh's line from Kabhie Kabhie, "Kabhi kabhi mere dil mein khayal aata hai." Amitabh surprises him by giving him a bear hug. However, the situation becomes tense as Amitabh and Abhishek start to cry. Abhishek can be seen stroking Amitabh on the back as he cries and tries to comfort him.

The episode will reveal what caused Amitabh to become so emotional, and show fans can't wait to see it. One of his followers remarked, "I just love him, don't know why I really feel connected to him." Another admirer stated that they were "just waiting for this episode."

Amitabh remarked, "It has been 21 years," during the show's 1000th episode last year. In 2000, the show premiered. I didn't know then, I'll admit. The idea that switching from the big screen to the little screen would be bad for my reputation was forewarned to me. The fact that I couldn't get any film work at the time was due to my personal circumstances, but after the show's debut, the responses I got led me to feel that things had changed for the better.
