Veteran Bollywood icon Amitabh Bachchan, 81, has been admitted to Mumbai's Kokilaben Hospital, according to a report. The reason for his hospitalization is currently undisclosed, and LiveMint has been unable to independently confirm the details.
Sources cited by the publication indicate that Bachchan is undergoing treatment for a condition related to his leg, rather than any issues with his heart. Specifically, he has undergone angioplasty to address a clot in his leg.
Prior to news of his hospitalization, Bachchan shared posts on X (formerly Twitter) in his usual style. In his 4,950th post, he expressed gratitude, while in another post numbered T 4950, he shared a promotional video for his Indian Street Premier League (ISPL) team, Majhi Mumbai, with a message urging supporters to believe in the team's victory.
On March 14th, Majhi Mumbai secured a significant win against the Chennai Singams, owned by Tamil star Suriya, with a stellar performance from player Abhishek Dalhor. Bachchan's team has now advanced to the final of the inaugural ISPL - T10 league.
