On Thursday, Raju Srivastava was cremated in Delhi, and Amitabh Bachchan posted a blog entry about the late comedian shortly after. In his most recent blog, Amitabh referred to him as a "colleague, friend, and creative artist. At the age of 58, Raju passed away on Wednesday at Delhi's All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS), where he had been admitted after suffering a heart attack.

"Another colleague, friend, and a talented artist leave us," Amitabh wrote. A sudden illness causes him to pass away before his creativity had time to fully develop. Every morning, with him in spirit and news from close friends.

On Thursday, Raju was cremated in accordance with Hindu customs at Delhi's Nigambodh Ghat. There were his wife Shikha Srivastava and their son Ayushmann. Many others, including actors Sunil Pal and Ahsaan Qureshi, filmmaker Madhur Bhandarkar, and singer Ram Shankar, joined them in paying Raju their final respects.

According to reports from a month ago, Raju's family received a voice message from Amitabh, and the comedian heard it while he was still unconscious. According to a report from India Today, the message was, "Raju, enough already. Raju, get up and continue to make us all laugh."

While Raju was unconscious, the actor shared a voice recording with him. Raju once opened his eyes after hearing the recording, he added. "They were told to send a voice to wake him up. I did, and they played it in his ears while he was in that condition. He once did briefly open one eye before vanishing. We will always remember his sense of timing and the slang humor of his birth. It was original, frank, open, and humorous. He is currently grinning from the skies and will soon be the source of the Gods' laughter.
