Amritsar: Since the setback from the Congress in Punjab, former Chief Minister Captain Amarinder Singh had hinted at opening up all avenues for his political future. Amarinder Singh is arriving in Delhi on Tuesday amid speculations that the captain will join the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) since he openly expressed displeasure with the Congress high command. He will meet Home Minister Amit Shah and BJP chief JP Nadda in Delhi.

According to the report, Captain Amarinder Singh has left for Delhi on Tuesday. His meeting with Amit Shah and JP Nadda is scheduled here. It may be mentioned that captain Amarinder Singh had resigned as CM this month, putting an end to the ongoing turmoil game in the Punjab Congress. The captain was sought resignation by the Congress high command. After his resignation, the Captain had said that he felt humiliated by the ongoing political turbulence in Punjab. He is likely to quit Congress after the chief minister's post.

Navjot Singh Sidhu has also resigned as Punjab Congress president recently. Sidhu has written to party working president Sonia Gandhi saying he cannot compromise on the future of Punjab and is resigning as Punjab Congress chief. In view of both these dissipates and the upcoming Punjab elections, the vessel of the Congress in the state seems to be stumbling.
