Amrita Rao, is all set to treat her fans with her  upcoming venture,  Thackeray, in which she stars  opposite Nawazzudin Siddiqui.
In one of her recent interviews, the actress applauded Tanushree Dutta for leading the Me Too movement in India. She said that Tanushree has given strength to women had stayed quiet all this time, and they only bottled in their experience. She  appreciated her and said that it is great that this fear is now around that if someone messes around, they will face the brunt on the internet. The actress added that  this is what has many men put their act together and now they are scared to be flirtatious or frivolous and that is good. The reason for women being targeted is the society, and how the victims are made to feel it is them who were at fault but now things have changed because of Me Too.
Amrita  further added that she is fortunate enough to not have been in such a situation as she had her mother on the sets. She  said that she belongs  to the city and a good family, and the film industry is not something they depend on for a lifestyle. Amrita then stated all this only matters when people who think you are weak take you in a ride and people who are victims of Me Too weren't from cities, and had no godfathers or their parents did not have any idea about what is happening, and they were taken for a ride and it is terrible as well as sad.
