New Delhi: JG Hosiery, who sells underwear and vests from the Macho brand, has filed a complaint against Lux Industries for allegedly copying its advertisement before advertising regulator Advertising Standards Council of India (ASCI). JG Hosiery has alleged that Lux Industries copied his Amul Macho TOING Ad in his LUX Cozi ad.
Tell you that Lux Industries in Kolkata has launched a new advertisement for actor Varun Dhawan for its Lux Cozi Undergarments. JG Hosiery said in a statement that the Lux Cozi brand has clearly copied the company's Amul Macho 'Toing' aid. The company first released this ed in 2007. JG Hosiery has complained in this regard and ASCI has cleared the company's complaint about further process.
Lux Industries, however, dismissed the allegation, saying its rival company was threatened by the success of ed coming on television. Our commercial advertising released on TV is based on the basic idea and has been created by our Creative Agency, they said in a statement. It is not based on copied views. We think the success of our ad is threatening the competing company and making baseless allegations.
