Bengaluru: A 16-year-old class 11th student allegedly jumped to death from the terrace of his apartment in HSR Layout. The incident occurred on March 20, where 16-year-old Saket Reddy, a student of an international school located on Whitefield-Sarjapur Main Road jumped off his apartment’s terrace around 9.45pm.

“According to family members, Saket was alone at home. Other residents from the apartment told us that he was an active boy and spent many hours at the gym,” police said. Based on a statement given by the boy’s father, police have registered a case of unnatural death. His father Suresh Reddy, a businessman, had flown to Hyderabad, while his mother and younger brother had gone to a relative’s house,” police said. “Saket went to the terrace which is on the 12th floor of the building and leaped to his death,” police said while a security guard who heard the loud noise near the gymnasium rushed to the spot found the teenager in a pool of blood lying dead on the ground.

Police said they haven’t recovered any suicide note from the place of the incident. “According to family members, Saket was alone at home. His father Suresh Reddy, a businessman, had flown to Hyderabad, while his mother and younger brother had gone to a relative’s house,” police said. “The family told us that Saket had not gone to school on that day. Other residents from the apartment told us that he was an active boy and spent many hours at the gym,” police said.
