Ayushmann Khurrana ‘s ‘An Action Hero’ is already hit the theatre screen. Recently the remake of Jedha Nasha’s song was released and Aap Jaisa Koi featuring Ayushmann Khurrana, Malaika Arora released from the film. After Doctor G, Ayushmann’s this movie also opens up with a slow start.  An Action Hero is the third Bollywood release for Ayushmann Khurrana this year. Previously, he saw the release of Anek and Doctor G. While Doctor G managed to earn over Rs 3 Cr on its opening day.

An Action Hero reportedly, couldn't even mint Rs 2 Cr. Preliminary reports claim that the film earned Rs 1-1.5 Cr on day one. According to a Box office reports, On its opening day at the box office, the film has earned in the range of Rs 1.50-3 crore. This is in the same range as the opening of Ayushmann’s other 2022 releases Doctor G (Rs 3.87 crore) and Anek (Rs 1.77 crore). Box Office India reported that the film witnessed as low as 5 per cent collections as it opened in the theaters.

Speaking about the movie, the actor played the role of superstar and popular youth icon, Maanav sees a downfall in movie career when he is caught up in a dramatic accident while shooting in Haryana, after which he runs for his life from an avenging politician who will go to any extent to satisfy his ego in the name of revenge. Maanav flies to London to prove his innocence on his own terms. The movie enthralls with its slick action and offbeat satirical sense of humor. The films highlight the celebrity culture where many of famous personalities are exposed to public backlash, media trials and the boycott trend. 

An Action Hero is Helmed by Anirudh Iyer, the film also stars Jaideep Ahlawat in the lead role and is all set to hit the theatres on December 2, 2022. The film marks the 'Dream Girl' actor's first action-packed role of his career. In the film, Ayushmann plays a famous actor Manav, who could be seen in an action-packed chase against a goon, played by Jaideep Ahlawat. Helmed by Anirudh Iyer the film is produced by Anand L Rai and Bhushan Kumar.
