Pune: On Sunday, in a shocking case reported from Pune, Maharashtra, an Afghani national was booked for allegedly sexually assaulting a minor boy. The accused was identified as Shah Mirwaiz, a resident of Kondhwa. According to a source report, the accused came to India to pursue his bachelors in Arts at the Abeda Inamdar Senior college camp. The victim was a 13-year-old boy and had been friends with Mirwaiz for the past few months as they lived in the same residential colony.
However, the sub-inspector of Kondhwa police station told that they have recorded the statements of the accused's roommates and the third person who is currently in Delhi. Meanwhile, the accused has been on the run, he bought an Indian sim card as his native sim has expired.

The police officer further added that Mirwaiz Visa has expired and he has applied for the fresh one. The police complaint was lodged by the victim's father and he mentioned that the victim visited Mirwaiz's apartment on Saturday night. When the victim was in the house, the accused stripped his clothes in front of him and began forcing himself on the minor.The complaint further stated, when the boy raised his voice in pain, Mirwaiz urinated on the victim. Later when he went to the washroom, the victim ran from his house.
Meanwhile, the victim narrated the ordeal to his father who lodged a police complaint. However, the accused was booked under section 377 of the Indian Penal Code and sections of Protection of Children from Sexual Offences Act. Further investigation in the case is underway.
