Raipur: In a shocking case reported, a Railway Protection Force inspector was arrested by the local police for allegedly shooting at and injuring her husband. The incident happened after a heated dispute between the couple in Chhattisgarh's Balodabazar-Bhatapara district. According to news agency PTI, the RPF Inspector was identified as 39-year-old, Sunita Minj. While she was on duty at her post at Bhatapara railway station on Sunday night when the incident happened.

Reportedly, the accused's husband Dipak Shrivastava (42) was also a railway employee, suspected that she was having an extra-marital affair. The PTI report mentioned that this reason often resulted in frequent quarrels between the couple ever since they married two years ago. 

Meanwhile, on Sunday night he arrived at her workplace to confront her about the affair but the duo again got into an argument and that's when Minj pulled out her service revolver fired a warning shot in the air and then discharged the next two bullets at Shrivastava.

A police official told the agency that the bullet was shot on his hips and he was immediately rushed to a nearby hospital. However, the doctors have mentioned that the victim is currently out of danger and further treatment is underway. The local police have arrested Minj and further probe into the incident is underway.
