Anamika Chakraborty is one of the talented and much-liked actresses of the Bengali industry. She is very active in the TV industry. Recently, she is playing the role of Dr Hiya Chatterjee is the show Ekhane Akash Neel (season-2). She is highly praised for her brilliant acting. Now the actress is all set to make her film debut with the movie titled Ishkabon from February. 

Anamika is at cloud nine and said that she has been working and rehearsing for her role for some time now. The Bengali film 'Ishkabon' will be directed by debutant filmmaker Mandip Saha and it will going to be shot in Jhargram. This film is a political drama based on Maoism issue in Bengal against the backdrop of a politically turbulent time. It also features a love triangle that starts between the Maoist leader (Sourav Das), his second in command Anamika and a CRPF soldier.

Talking about the upcoming film, the actress said that the story of film Ishkabon is all about revolution and how the journey as a Naxal activist changes the life the lead. Anamika further said that she is very excited to be the part of this film not only because she is playing the lead but also because it is a very different kind of film. The film will also feature Arindam Ganguly, Sumit Ganguly, Pushpita Mukherjee and Kharaj Mukherjee.
