New Delhi: Coronavirus cases are continuously increasing in the country. The government is engaged in trying to get the economy back on track by giving relaxation in lockdown 4.0. Meanwhile, Mahindra Group Chairman Anand Mahindra has reacted to the lockdown. He said that increasing lockdown could prove disastrous for the economy.

Industrialist Anand Mahindra tweeted, "Moving the lockdown forward will not only be fatal to the economy, but as I have already tweeted in the past it will create another health crisis." Citing an article, he said that the dangerous psychological effects of lockdown and ignoring non-corona patients is a huge danger. He had proposed to end it only after Lockdown 3.0. However, he said that it is difficult for policy makers to make these choices.

Earlier this month, the Mahindra Group chairman had said that if the lockdown is prolonged, the country will go through a deep economic crisis. He wrote that the lockdown has been able to save lakhs of people, but if it is increased then the weaker sections of the society may face severe difficulties.
