Senior documentary filmmaker Anand Patwardhan's film 'Ram Ke Naam' has been in dispute for the last few days. The film 'Ram Ke Naam', released in 1992, was able to be released after all the struggle and the film was recently screened at the President's College. However, the dean of this university was said to be politically quite controversial and even refused to screen it in college, although students changed the film's menu at the last moment and were successful in screening the film.

Sayan, a student of PU's Economics Department, has told that the first power supply was cut by the administration of the college, although we screened the film in the badminton court in the last moment which involved 150 people. Earlier, at Hyderabad University, six students were arrested by the police as they were trying to screen this documentary without permission. But the students of the Film Studies Department at Jadavpur University screened the film without any interference from the administration, but there have been protests by the ABVP in all these locations and there have been reports of violence in many places.

After these disputes, the Central Executive Committee of the Student Federation of India has asked all its units to arrange for the screening of this film. At the same time, the controversial documentary depicts the story of the Vishwa Hindu Parishad campaign which wants to build the Ram temple after the Babri Masjid was demolished in Ayodhya, and the film also sheds light on the communal violence in the country after this incident.
