Mumbai: Actress Ananya Panday has been announced as the Hindi voice of Riley in the upcoming Disney Pixar animated film 'Inside Out 2', set to release in theatres on June 14 in English and Hindi.
The sequel to the 2015 film 'Inside Out' will see Panday lending her voice to Riley, a role that allowed her to reminisce about her childhood and provided her with the most enjoyable experience at work.
"I have always been a huge fan of Disney and Pixar animated films. These stories transport you to an entertaining yet relatable world. I remember being a teenager when I first watched 'Inside Out' a few years ago and was mesmerized by this colorful world of emotions. I never imagined that one day I would be a part of such a unique story!" said the 25-year-old actress in a statement.
'Inside Out 2' delves back into the mind of Riley, now a newly-minted teenager, just as Headquarters faces an unexpected demolition to make way for something new. The synopsis of the film reads, "Joy, Sadness, Anger, Fear, and Disgust, who have been running a successful operation, aren’t sure how to feel when Anxiety, Envy, Ennui, and Embarrassment show up."
Directed by Kelsey Mann, the English version of the film features voices from Amy Poehler, Maya Hawke, Liza Lapira, Tony Hale, Lewis Black, Phyllis Smith, Ayo Edebiri, Lilimar, Grace Lu, Sumayyah Nuriddin-Green, Adele Exarchopoulos, Diane Lane, Kyle MacLachlan, Paul Walter Hauser, and Yvette Nicole Brown.
