Andhra CM Chandrababu Naidu and his family members cast vote in Mangalagiri

Andhra Pradesh chief minister and TDP chief N Chandrababu Naidu reached at the polling station with family to cast his vote on Thursday. After casting his vote, the TDP chief refrained to answer questions of media persons. Naidu’s son said, “ It is an important election for the state and nation. Even, a lot of youngsters are coming out to exercise their franchise.” He urged voters to come out and practice their fundamental right.

Naidu, along with his wife Bhuvaneswari, son and IT minister Nara Lokesh and his wife, cast their vote. Lokesh is making his political debut from Magalagiri Assembly seat which is currently held by YSR Congress Party's Alla Rama Krishna Reddy. After coming out of the polling booth, they showed their inked fingers to the media persons. Naidu and Lokesh said every voter should exercise his democratic right. 

This is the first time that Naidu and his family members cast their votes in the new state of Andhra Pradesh. In 2014 elections, they had voted in Hyderabad, the capital of undivided Andhra Pradesh. Polling is underway for 25 Lok Sabha and 175 Assembly seats in Andhra Pradesh.
